The Basement Boxing Club is entertainment. Everything on bbcfight.com and BBC Fight Pass — every fight, photo, video, poster, result, record, ranking, interview, press conference and storyline — is fictional, scripted and staged.
What that means
- The fights are choreographed. They are performed by people who agreed to take part. Outcomes, records, rivalries, title pictures and storylines are written in advance.
- The injuries are not real. Blood, cuts, bruises, swelling, knockdowns and knockouts are made with makeup, props, practical effects, stunt work and visual effects (VFX).
- Photos and videos are edited and enhanced, including with artificial intelligence (AI). Faces, bodies, crowds, voices, backgrounds, graphics and whole scenes may be created or changed digitally.
- It isn’t a real sport. Results, records, rankings, titles, odds and statistics are part of the story. The Basement Boxing Club is not a sanctioned or regulated combat-sports event and is not connected to, endorsed by or affiliated with any boxing, MMA or sports organization, including the UFC.
- Nobody was hurt — don’t try any of it. Do not copy or attempt anything you see on these sites.
- Don’t pass it off as real. Don’t share, repost, record or describe anything from these sites as real fighting or real injuries, and don’t use it to mislead, harass or embarrass anybody.
The agreement every member signs
Before an account sees anything on bbcfight.com, and again before it sees anything on BBC Fight Pass, it is shown this notice and must type I agree. Neither site opens until it has. By typing it, a member confirms that they have read this notice, that they understand all content on the site is fictional, scripted and enhanced, and that they agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
The date and time each member agreed, and on which site, is saved to their account and shown on their profile.
The people you see
Everyone who appears in BBC content is taking part in a production. Names, nicknames, records, rivalries, personalities and “bad blood” are characters and storylines, not statements of fact about any real person. Treat the people involved with respect — on these sites and anywhere else.
